How to help with the wildfire recovery
Santa Cruz Emergency Operations has opened a Recovery Resource Center (RRC) located at Kaiser Permanente Arena. Numerous agencies are there to help fire-affected residents get the resources they need to recover and rebuild.
Representatives from FEMA, the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), along with other agencies and nonprofits, federal, state and local, will answer questions about disaster assistance programs and other sources of support.
Santa Cruz County RRC at Kaiser Permanente Arena is at 140 Front St. and will be open daily, 11 am to 7 pm.
Financial donations to help recovery can be made to the Community Foundation Of Santa Cruz County’s Fire Response. Contributions to the fund will be distributed to nonprofit agencies and organizations directly assisting individuals to meet needs as they arise. 100% of donors’ gifts will be used for grant-making. All donations are tax-deductible. Donate HERE.
The Community Foundation Of Santa Cruz County is also accepting material donations. Because of COVID-19 considerations, the County requests that all donations be in new condition. Bring all donations to one of the following locations:
In Santa Cruz: 1082 Emeline, from 8 am to 8 pm.
In Watsonville: 114 Walker St., from 10 am to 5 pm.
