A cup with a view: Shrine Coffee on Westcliff

Shrine is heaven for coffee lovers, beach lovers, and anyone who has always dreamt of an idyllic place to meet friends, write in a journal, or just enjoy ocean air and sweet breezes over a great cup of coffee (beans sourced from Cat & Cloud).

Sit yourself in the immaculate patio, where bordering to the west is the beautiful Shrine of St Joseph church, and immediately to the east is a lovely forested grove with benches and walkways. PLUS, the view to the south is the OCEAN beyond Westcliff! AND the owner/baristas are wonderful. AND it’s a non-profit business.

Shrine is almost brand new, having had the misfortune of opening in March and then immediately closing during the shutdown. They reopened in June, and they deserve to be a success. It’s truly a treasure for Santa Cruz.

Shrine Coffee is located at 544 W Cliff Dr, open from 7am to 4pm, 7 days a week.
